Gisteravond vond de lancering van Rihanna’s eerste eigen collectie onder het luxe label Fenty Maison plaats, dit label heeft Rihanna samen opgericht met LVMH (het moederbedrijf van o.a. Louis Vuitton). Rihanna is de eerste bekende ster die een eigen luxury label opricht met LVMH en daarom is de samenwerking nu al uniek. Gisteravond was dan eindelijk de eerste collectie presentatie in Parijs waarbij alle looks uitvoering getoond en besproken werden. De lancering was verder intiem, het was geen grote modeshow maar een ‘pop-up lancering’, ondanks dat was het volgens Rihanna een hectische periode. Zelf droeg ze een prachtige witte blazerjurk die uiteraard ook onderdeel uitmaakt van de collectie. De eerste beelden van Fenty Maison check je hieronder!

“I want to be as disruptive as possible,” says #Rihanna. “The brand is not traditional. There is no runway show. It’s a new way of doing things because I believe that this is where fashion is going to go eventually.” When Fenty.com goes live on May 29, it will be one of few luxury brands to commit fully to online sales: There are no plans for runway shows, flagship boutiques or third-party sales through department stores. New clothes will instead “drop” each month on the website, similar to the model pioneered by the streetwear brand Supreme. #Rihanna is making a reggae album and it will arrive imminently, but she doesn’t know the exact date yet.
